Focus: Dr. Susan Ackerman strives to provide the highest quality of care to all of her patients. She is passionate about helping people with pelvic dysfunction, low back pain, hip pain, and abdominal pain, especially in pregnancy and postpartum, achieve their goals.
Susan holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Duke University and a B.S in Kinesiology at University of Nevada. She has also completed an extensive Pilates teacher training program through The Pilates Center in Boulder, CO and is pursuing Visceral Manipulation coursework through Barral Institute.
Susan takes a holistic approach with her patients and tailors treatments to each individual. Her treatment philosophy is evidence-informed and uses a combination of manual therapies, education, exercise, and functional activities to help people improve their quality of life.
Outside of her career, Susan spends time gardening, hiking, knitting/crocheting, cooking, and doing yoga. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring new places, good food, and outdoor activities.
